Capsicums yellow, red and green
velvety soft and with a sheen
lie in the vegetable market
enamoured by its lovely thickets
choose one of one from different hue
they are so beautiful to view
I hesitate to cut them into pieces
feel as though I would hurt their peace
refrigerate them for a day
anyhow had to use them in a wy
took them out and washed them
gently sliced them into fragments
tears came down and made me lament.
