A Rat Race.

I

t is a rat race
 coming home from it
 was  n a daze
 held on for a  minute in it
 then started to gaze
 a pretty not much performance
well, could not be informal
 had to stay put with agony
 having much to be done
 sat  inert in a stillness
 Oh! he rat race has devastated me
 I remain there without any glee
