Not The Doleful

It is a trip
 eighty of them together
pilgrimage  trip
 friends and relatives together
 a journey by train
 all age groups in the fold
women wearing duplicate chains
men  ready to hold
 the train puffs on and on
 stopping at destinations
the ramblings go on and on
 could be a fascination
 if interactions   go well
 would turn a distraction
 if unwanted  deals swell
 the train goes on unmindful
 with its puffs and fumes
 knows not the doleful
that largely looms.
