A candle burns
quiet and beautiful
steadily it burns
simple and wonderful
turns not while it burns
soft and full.
It is a candle though
burns upright
not like the bulb in a glow
burns downright
an ordinary candle it is
soft and full.
The candle lends light dim
burns to the full
never lightens up in a grim.
flickers in dull
candles small and big in all
soft and full
