Jack and Jill
of the nursery rhyme old
told us of a scarcity of water
as they went up the hill
very long ago in bold
to fetch a pail of water
Jack fell down
as he slipped and bruised
and broke his crown
Jill came tumbling after
down she went was badly injured
as she turned all brown.
The pail of water got splashed
Jack cried not of pain
but for the loss of water
being a commodity of cash
Jill could find no gain
felt sorry for the loss of water.
