Parallel Lines

A parallel line
 on one side
 another parallel line
 on another side
 do not meet
 each one runs
 far into the retreat
not in a fun
 they run miles across
 never do they meet
 nor do they cross
 but travel without a beat
 will they ever converge?
not in the nearest verge.
