It was mid-morning
schools were busy
the roads were teeming
not anywhere fussy
as all was going well
a sudden tremor was felt
it rigged and creaked as well
buildings collapsed in the belt
roads gave way in a moment
huge disaster on the edifice
there were thousands of deaths
amputations and mutations in the debris
many struggled for breaths
the seismic earthquake
in Kathmandu
spread far down south with the minimal velocity
it was another natural devastation beyond understanding.
