Happy Mother's Day.

Am a mother of yester years
 none croons in my ears
 wishes, not a HappyMothers day
 it is a hearsay.

Mother, I  am to three
 none called me with glee
wished me not a HappyMothers Day
it is a hearsay.

Mother, I am for long
 none sing me a song
wished me not a Happy Mother's Day
it is a hearsay.

Mother, I did dispense
 none gifted me anything expensive
wished me not a happy Mothers Day
it is a hearsay.

Mother, the instinct very much in me
none think of me as a being
wished me not a Happy Mother's Day
it is a hearsay.

Mother, I am a mother still
as I have given birth to three with will
wished me not a Happy Mothers Day
it is a hearsay.

To My Mother

it is my mother who I recall
her face comes to me in a call
she saw  me through the years
could I say the formative years
she was a paragon of virtues.

Being the youngest daughter
out of the two of her daughters
she loved my sister the most
 spoilt her  to the utmost
she fell short of her virtues.

I was under her eyes
 never she relaxed her ties
a teacher strict, a mother affable
she took turns in all possible
 she upheld her virtues.

I used to feel  letdown
 as she cast a frown
 especially to me
my sister was always in glee
she slipped in her virtues.

 Now she is gone forever
still I could feel the terror
 her eyes still follow me
she had  been kind and firm
not so to my sister in terms.

Her attitude and thoughts
has placed me in a slot
much higher than my sister
as I have  fairly performed
now I worship her virtues.

All things that are sugary
would not make you happy
require a bitterness
too
 a juxtaposition  of the two
 would  aid to achieve greatness.

A Mother In Her

She calls herself a mother
 Oh,
no, she is a real mother
with children not in one or two
 they outnumber a score true
she brings them up in a way
 none could attribute a stay
 she leaves them to themselves
not bothered about their inner selves
she feels food and clothing matters
the rest is left to a shatter
she feeds them with quantity food
 never thinks of quality food
she clothes them with clothes expensive
never with that which fits them cohesive
this be the way she rears her children
she thinks the upbringing is  a burden.
