Why Do You Fuss?

The rains come and go
 seem to be reluctant
 wish to pour in a blow
 yet seem to be hesitant
 why this Hamletian dilemma?
 the rain feels shy to come forward
 it proves to an enigma
 as it moves backward
 the momentary shift it does
 keeps us perplexed
 why does it make such a fuss?
 why is it not focused?
 rain tell me the  truth
 hope you are not a sleuth.
 I feel you try to detect
 the nature  of man in an intersect.
he spoils your sport  wantonly
 destroys  your mantle  purposefully.

 

White, Black, Yellow And Brown

The colours of the skin
 white, black, yellow and brown
 show the  distinctions  in tone
white  commands a superiority
 know not for  what
the lighter you are
 the great you feel
the dark skin   is scorned
 know not for what
 the  darker you are
the bad you feel
 the yellow is a standby for gold
 still it does not hold you in esteem
 the yellow race is in between
know not for what
the mild  coloured you are
 the soft you feel
not white,  not black is brown
the brown  invites a frown
 know not for what
 the intermediary is not appreciated
the middle you are in
 nowhere you feel
 that be the  tone of the skin
white, black, yellow and brown.

The Crow Caws---Haiku

The crow caws
very early in the morning
 a daily schedule

It cries hoarse
 very early in the morning
none wake up.


It steps out
very early in the morning
meets no one.

The Gluten Factor

Many factors come into my mind 

 as I think of diet and wellbeing 

 the newest possible find 

 the gluten of a kind.

The protein in wheat and barley 

 a constituent of great value 

makes the dough  rise in an hourly

 now  is deemed to be an undervalue.

Wheat and barley the staple diet of most 

 now  are  on the way out 

 they cause an allergen  in almost

a gluten free diet is welcome most.

The sudden denial of gluten in diet 

 emulates  a research in thorough

this had been vogue thousands of years  

has been buried in the burrow.

Research is with basis no doubt

 the same thesis would be upturned 

 wheat used to make men strong and stout

now this belief is totally spurned.

Next few years one more would  surge

  rice has  many defects 

the rice eaters would eliminate 

the grain from the diet

Wheat  is banned so would be rice 

 milk and dairy products are unhealthy 

the tabulation  would be on rise 

how on earth are we to survive healthy?

 

The Plane Takes Off

The plane takes off
 slowly it rises up in the sky
 the passengers  doze off
 the pilots serious in their tries
 pick up a quarrel in the middle
the Captain  is booed  and beat
startled by the co-pilot's meddle
steers the plane to the nearest bet
confused the passengers disembark
know not the co-pilots' impulsive
they got down without a remark
the eccentric behaviour  is repulsive
 incredible and unimaginable.

The Story Of The Leaf

The leaf fell down silently
 from the branch high
it slided in the air gently
 without a sigh.


It struck the ground
no dust rose up  fast
 no impact was found
it lay down in a cast.

The leaf was half green
half had turned yellow
so long it has been
sticking lightly to the  willow

The gardener pushed it to the side
away it flew with a speed
 it  landed on the garbage beside
 that be the story of the leaf indeed
